Hi friends, I'm Alexa!

I'm an energetic 30 year old solo mom and artist living in the heart of the Lakes Region. My love of arts started when I picked up my first guitar at age 11- by 12 I was writing my own songs and traveling all over the state to perform for NH Radio events. Then, freshman year of high school my father bought his first DSLR and it was love at first CLICK. From there I quickly joined my high school's photography club and photographed everything and everyone I could. 

However, I grew up with a nurse for a mother and knew I also wanted to work caring for people in some way. After high school, I became a medical assistant and would do that for 6 years along with photography on the side, before happening upon an opportunity to do behavioral therapy with kids on the Autism spectrum. I loved that work. Unfortunately, the pandemic came in 2020 and would end up bankrupting the company I worked for. I was devastated but, I had a daughter to care for and thankfully, a passion to fall back on. I finally had to have the courage and the opportunity to dive into photography full time. Thus, Photos By Alexa was born.

When I'm not on a shoot or outdoors exploring with rescue pitbull & daughter, you can find me cozied up with some chai tea, listening to true crime series, tending my house plants (I have over 50). I can't wait to meet you!
